That's very interesting. I've never heard of that, and I am interested in beekeeping.

I recently watched a video where a beekeeper had to euthanize an aggressive colony. The bees were well-nigh unmanageable.

I do not doubt bees have a three day memory. There have been times that I have harvested honey or done a hive inspection and a couple days later a bee will buzz around my head but leave everyone else alone.
