They weren’t even filming Alec. Good grief.

The crew had been pretty upset about safety precautions on
set as I understand it.

Alec and this woman had words earlier, again, as I understand
it.

So he evidently attempted to razz or intimidate her by
pointing the gun at her and pulling the trigger.

If these parameters are correct as stated, then I don’t
see how it’s anything less than reckless endangerment
and a lower level of manslaughter.

Someone died because of this buffoon’s misguided actions.

Evidently the crew had grounds to be nervous. And the
person who set up the gun, should be on the chopping
block too.

No matter how the criminal case turns out, the civil case he will be facing will be much more difficult to break free from.

The have enough to overcharge for murder to make him plead to manslaughter...you know like they do everyone else that isn’t a celebrity.

“..raising questions about whether New Mexico prosecutors have enough to pursue the manslaughter case.”

MSN, ahh Duh.

HE IS GUILTY! NO QUESTION! The evidence is OVERWHELMING! A LOT of evidence not required.

Baldwin was in possession and control of a deadly weapon.

He pointed it at the victims and fired!, with reckless disregard for safety.

“I didn’t mean to” is NO EXCUSE!

It is hard to understand how a human death could occur in the manner reported if all the people in attendance were adult, intelligent and sober.

So whether the Prosecutor was also a Legislator really bears on whether Baldwin is guilty. I hope the jury sees this as a cheap tactic used because the accused has no real defense.

Is there any info on how the jury selection went? If Baldwin managed to enpanel a gaggle of anti-gun geese, he’ll get off. Gun owners, OTOH, will know that guns don’t fire themselves.

If only they had some evidence, like a dead body, witnesses, and video of it.

The main issue has nothing to do with the case against Baldwin except that the Special Prosecutor would be aggressive in court.

The decision by special prosecutor Andrea Reeb came a month after Baldwin’s attorney filed a motion to remove her because she is also a representative in the state legislature. The Baldwin team argued it violates the state constitution for a legislator to serve in another branch of government.

There wouldn’t be a problem prosecuting one of us if someone not rich and famous had done the exact same thing.

Heck, they are still holding the Jan 6 political prisoners with no charges at all, and no evidence of wrongdoing. They will nail anyone they want and let anyone they want go, right Hunter?

Justice does not exist in this country any more.

No matter what the legalities are or anything else,

Baldwin OWNS the round that went downrange.

End of story.

This IS a messy case to me, because I believe there was no intent on anyone’s part to hurt anyone.

That said, there is culpability and I say almost all of it goes to the armorer. That was her job foremost.

However, he appears to have been the one that hired her, so he gets some blame too. I’d slap him with a $10k fine and year of probation. I’m not going to be upset really if he gets more or less though.
