Critter cam caught a raccoon pilfering tomatoes last night. Picky eater, the bandit punctures many tomatoes, partially eats others, knocks a few on the ground, then lumbers along to the next vine. Grrrrr.
So frustrating! Have you tried a spray of ‘Critter Ridder’ or the like? Can’t hurt, might help!
So bad! Supposedly raccoons do not like certain fragrances like pepper mint or garlic. You might plant marigolds and basil around your tomatoes and see what happens? (Chipmunks still eat off the lower branches>) Maybe spray or sprinkle the vines with cayanne pepper (that you can wash off the tomatoes when ripe.) Good luck!
Two words : Live Traps
Works for me. I caught 3 destructive critters in the last 10 days. Relocated to nice food-rich wilderness.
😅
What kind of vessel does a Nautical Nurse command? A sub, battleship, party boat?
