I wish your comment could be dismissed as simply "Gloom & Doom", but unfortunately, you're spot on. We are in heap big trouble.

People who think we can vote our way out of this mess are in denial, but we have to keep trying -- get out and vote in 2024, and maybe with divine intervention, America can reverse course.

Voting elects new scoundrels. It can’t fix the cultural rot, political polarization, endemic corruption, and ethical/moral decline. Our system is suffering from many hard-to-cure ills.

We are in much deeper trouble that most realize. Once a house has been infested with termites it cannot be easily repaired. Just saying.

I tend to agree, but my husband says every time I complain about something in politics, “what are you going to do about it, vote?”

Quite right. It is why I’ve been banging the pots and pans for years at FR for an Article V Convention of the States.
