Col. Macgregor: "The last thing Americans need is a war. No more political and military incompetence, ineptitude, corruption. They want an economy that works, and they're not going to stand around and watch the financial system go under. They want real leadership, not a cardboard cutout President."

Unfortunately it is Ukraine getting their asses handed to them. They are not winning at this time.
Support for this has diminished all over the west also.
Our military was getting wiped out in Afghanistan?
Irreplaceable machines and aircraft and armor and ammo stocks being destroyed on the battlefield?
We have no soldiers left in Afghanistan, and our enemies have full control of the territory, so effectively, yes, we were, "wiped out."
"Irreplaceable machines and aircraft and armor and ammo stocks being destroyed on the battlefield?"
Worse. Just left there for our enemies to use.
So no, our military wasn’t getting wiped out in Afghanistan, and no, our irreplaceable equipment and armor and aircraft were not being destroyed in Afghanistan.
Russia’s military is truly being destroyed in Ukraine and they don’t have the means or the money, to rebuild and replace it anytime soon.
Russia is even losing foreign markets for its war equipment and machines because its customers are watching how poorly they perform against simple Western tools, the loss of sales contributes to the inability of Russia to replace its stocks.
The Russian military is being bled dry in this 2 week war.
Russia has far less respect for that than any poster on this board. You don’t seem very concerned about Ukrainian sovereignty.
Col. Macgregor: “The last thing Americans need is a war.”
America doesn’t ‘need’ a war, but if this guy thinks that the American economy doesn’t run on war material production he is dumber than I first imagined.
The reason why the DOD budget cannot be cut is because the multiplier impact on the US economy would be disastrous.
I don’t understand why this clown keeps getting air time. He has been pretty much wrong on everything he says.
Here is Col MacGregor in November of 2022
“Decisions were made in August about how they would approach the rest of this campaign and now we are looking at a force of almost 700,000 troops surrounding Ukraine; the large probabilities of offenses beginning in the next 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8 weeks; whenever the ground freezes completely and the Russians judge their forces to be ready and they will move in and they will finish off this Ukrainian state.”
I would be if they cared about our sovereignty. It would be nice if our illegitimate regime using our tax dollars for a foreigner’s war cared about our sovereignty. Maybe it would even be nice if you cared about our sovereignty instead of supporting a regime that will take away everyone’s sovereignty no matter where they live.
Is Ukraine a sovereign country?
Gotta go through Washington state or Idaho to get Oregon. Just add them to the list.
Sorry, I am a victim of the California educational system.
Yeah, let the buyer beware.
China is questionable and on paper they look formidable, but when was the last time they were tested?

China consumes because it produces.
The US consumes, in part, because it desperately prints money while it still has value.
The reason why the DOD budget cannot be cut is because the multiplier impact on the US economy would be disastrous.
Indeed. My social network is filled with middle aged “retired” military guys now working in the private sector on something DOD funding relating. Cut that out and the middle class incomes take a huge hit. Home values and truck sales hit hard in particular.
My college roommate enjoys his 35 year Army Col pension. He earned it. He has the scars and other damage to prove it. I would never suggest that should be cut.
But he doesn’t like it when I give him grief for turning that into a $250k consulting gig for the Military Industrial Complex. He gets paid that much because he can “talk” to the former Generals at the companies they work for. He adds little “value” to any product other than hand holding.
There is way, way too much money being spent on this stuff. Lots of folks with dirty snouts. And it will go on until it collapses under its own weight.
They don’t consume enough to support their economy which is in trouble as well check out real estate market, but that doesn’t address my points. An army on paper can and has looked formidable only to crumble when tested
Different situation and you know it
Re: 27 - I liked MacGregor as a disruptive force while in the Army. That in all like likelihood cost him an O-6 slot as he ruffled lots of feathers.
He has been exceedingly over-optimistic in how Russia would perform in this war and has been this way right from the gitgo.
Yep, it is the same predictions over and over, month after month.
