Of course, you have to kiss the bread buh-bye.
When you lose water on keto, you lose salt. And meat (without added chemicals) and cheese are fine in great quantities.
Keto may not be right for some people, but I guess you have to try it to find out (since doctors can't tell you).
I eat high-fat, high sodium, relatively high protein and my blood pressure is low, my LDL cholesterol is low, and my weight is perfect (well, about 5 lbs higher than I would like at 165).
Today I am going to have a massive chicken breast covered in red salsa and topped with a mountain of sour cream. Broccoli smothered in cheese sauce. And a couple of huge hamburger patties covered in pimento cheese (with sugar-free ketchup and mustard on the side).
I would have an omelet but I can't afford the eggs without selling my truck.
Sounds perfect!
BTW, eggs are coming down!..............
Agree. The main issue in the modern western diet is not saturated fat or minute amounts of preservatives or salt, rather the ubiquitous carbs. Carbs rapidly become sugar when digested. We are dosing ourselves with massive amounts of sugar which has profound metabolic consequences including diabetes, heart disease and cancer. Cut the carbs.
