Bttt
First of all, it's not "funding" and it isn't to BLM solely. It is an aggregation of "corporate contributions and pledges to the Black Lives Matter movement and related causes from 2020 to the present."
That's QUITE different from the headline.
Second, I clicked through a few of the links. It's a stretch to call some of the entities with which these corporations are working, to be "related causes" to BLM. Entities that are trying to improve the lives of minorities aren't ipso facto related to BLM. Parenthetically, many folks rant about "why don't blacks clean up their own community?" But then an entity pops up to do just that, and now they're a pro-riot communist organ?
Third, I know people who work in these companies and, without revealing sources, they have avoided BLM and their ilk assiduously.
But hey, it'll get clicks for Claremont because..ya know..Dems Bad and stuff.
I thought sloppy reporting, playing fast and lose with the facts, and sensational headlines was a leftist trait. I guess not...and we can now put Claremont in the same "conservative" new media toilet with Gateway Pundit, American Thinker, and NewsBusters.
Thanks for the list. Now I’ll have to pay more attention to where I spend my money.
BLM is just continuing the race hustle that Jesse Jackson patented:
1) Invite yourself to a meeting with a large company’s board of directors.
2) Tell them “it’s a nice company you have here, it would be a shame if something were to happen to it”
3) Profit
Foot Locker and Nike donated millions...how did that work out for them?
