“Best Years of Our Lives” is my favorite.
Same here.
I was a winner by not watching those slimeballs
Thank you that is all
How about a graph showing how good each movie is compared to how good we are supposed to pretend it is?
The presense of “Ordinary People” (1981) on the list shows that Academy virtue signalling is not new.
Titanic. Just wrong year.
I’m stunned at how many of the recent ones I have never even heard of ...
Lol!
I love that version. More matter of fact, less hysteria!
I wonder if they would laugh at the 1943 German propaganda version in which all the sane and honorable people on board were the German officer and German citizens on their way to the US.

All the rest were addle brained English and Americans.
Actually it is a very good movie if you overlook the propaganda effort in it.
“ How Green Was My Valley” is one of my favorites.
It’s way before my time, but it’s an awesome film.
I saw Coda last year. It was worthy of an Oscar.
ive seen 24 of em....boy, the 1940’s and 1970’s really stand out....
Double Indemnity should’ve won something. For Barbie or Fred.
I saw Slumdog Millionaire. Meh
And the one before that: No Country for Old Men, which I absolutely detested.
Latest one I’ve seen was ‘96 - Braveheart.
Going back to ‘36 - Mutiny on the Bounty, I count a total of 20 that I have seen.
Most of the winners in 2000+ are not worth the gas to drive to a theater, much less the price of a ticket!
Beaten by Going My Way. 7 nominations 0 trophies.
Sheesh.
Most of the recent Best Picture winners have pretty much already been forgotten.
I still can’t believe “Dude, Where’s My Car?” didn’t win.
I think the best of these, from my lifetime, is Schindler's List. The favorite of these, from my lifetime, is Patton.
“Earth Girls Are Easy” is a classic. It should’ve been a shoe in. Jeff Goldblum, Jim Carrey, Daman Wayans and Geena Davis were cheated.
