Where do you store these? Lithium ion batteries tend to catch fire in thermal runaways and are already responsible for 200 fires, 150 injuries and 6 deaths in New York City alone.

Kurt needs to show us how it's done. With kids. In the snow. While charging his phone. At Wal-Mart.

park that thing at Wal-Mart and 90% chance it will be gone when you come back out. Of course, you might see some ghettopottamus driving down the sugary food aisles riding on it and after that you won't want it back.

I remember when the Seguay was going to be a major turning point in the way we all live, so they said.

It was my first thought as well.

Also....you will own nothing and be happy. Hey you’ll be protecting the environment and stopping climate change. That should make us feel so good. I doubt Klaus will be riding one of these.

Don't think of it as a downgrade from an SUV. Think of it as an upgrade from sending the wife and kids down to the well to carry water back

And just think of how many crickets and mealworms you could haul.

IIRC in Texas there is a requirement that any vehicle using the state and US highways must be able to travel at a sustained speed which was 30 mph or so. Pedal power, no matter the form factor is essentially restricted to county roads and roads in and around suburbs. If your Costco is reachable via these type of roads, you are all set ... except for that ‘how much can you pull’ thingy.

If it can’t trailer a sailboat, it isn’t worth anything.

How am I going to fit all my gear (including a mt. bike), put a kayak on the top, and tow a couple of jet skis on a trailer (or the boat) with that?

When I was in Mexico I saw lots of these things but they were just people powered. Whatever moron came up with the idea of using them here should be forever banned from using gas/diesel vehicles and forced to rely on the inferior battery technology for everything. I’ve seen many ads for EVs lately, and they range from bizarre to outright lies, but none of them address what vehicles are actually supposed to do ie. get you from one place to another with comfort reliability and convenience.
