They would use the loss to become even richer. They would go to ALL the talk shows to whine how mean this country was to them. They would go oprah to get the sympathy of millions of women who have nothing worthwhile to do all day but watch oprah. They would write a book and get millions for an “advance.”
I do not feel sorry for them at all. They are the very essence of shallow banality with chutzpah. They will use their “royal” status to become rich again.

FWIW, in these bank failures, uninsured deposits beyond the 250k limits aren’t totally wiped out. After the feds unwind the failed banks assets, uninsured/underinsured depositors will usually get fifty cents on the dollar or something like that.
The story is out that Oprah had $540 million on deposit at that bank so there were a lot of stupid people who had a lot of money on deposit there. Which brings up the question of the stupidity of the money, managers, and wealth managers for these people.
