We have received the Richmond Dispatch of March 7, and other Southern papers, which furnish the following interesting and important intelligence:
OFFICIAL REPORT OF VAN DORN'S FIGHT.
CHATTANOOGA, Friday, March 6.
The following official dispatch of Gen. VAN DORN's late engagement has been received. The fight tok place at Thompson's Station, and not at Franklin:
TULLAROMA, March 2.
To Col. B.Z. Ewel:
The enemy attacked VAN DORN yesterday at Thompson's Station, between Columbia and Franklin.
He drove them back handsomely, and captured five regiments of infantry, twenty-two hundred officers and men. Our loss is not yet reported.

CHATTANOOGA, Wednesday, March 4.
Gen. VAN DORN attacked the enemy at Franklin, 18 miles south of Nashville on Sunday, with cavalry and light artillery, capturing three thousand Yankees with stores and equipments.
The enemy captured several foraging wagons belonging to WHEELER's Brigade, near Wastrace, on the 1st.
The Yankees continue to commit depredations around Murfreesboro. A citizen of Rutherford was taken out and whipped by order of the Federal Officers.
CHATTANOOGA, Wednesday, March 4.
Confirmatory reports are received of VAN DORN's raid in Franklin. He is now in possession of that place. Thirty-nine wagons with stores were captured. The Federal loss is 1,800 killed and wounded. Our loss heavy. The number of prisoners is 2,600.
JACKSON, Thursday, March 5.
To Gen. S. Cooper:
Gen. STEPHENSON, commanding at Vicksburgh, telegraphs, March 4, as follows: The Indianola is not destroyed. We are at work to raise her. One 11-inch gun was burst, the others are not injured.
