At least the Palins knew who the parent was, in contrast to the Biden family, where the 49 year old Ivy League educated lawyer son couldn’t remember knocking up a stripper and had to be dragged into court to jog his memory.

“ This story is pathetic. Young people shouldn’t be parents at 17. It’s certainly isn’t something to celebrate.”
It’s interesting.
It didn’t used to be so uncommon.
People were more mature earlier and started their lives, marriage and family.
It’s probably better for society. 17 is young still I agree.

Loretta Lynn was 31 when she became a grandmother ... And Loretta married at 15, and didn't have her first kid until 11 months later.

Misquoted and out of context. Never says not to judge with righteous judgment, otherwise it would contradict John 7:24.

I can picture it now.

” Young people shouldn’t be parents at 17.”
Agreed
But in the past it was different. Read a story yesterday about 98-year-old Kentucky woman met her great-great-great-granddaughter for the first time. First kid at 16.

I hope this child has a wonderful life, but...
Anyone who thinks this is okay shouldn’t criticize when other people have children out of wedlock.

Misquoted and out of context. Never says not to judge with righteous judgment, otherwise it would contradict John 7:24. Exactly. Jesus was talking about not being a hypocrite, where you are judging your brother yet have much greater sin in your own life. This verse is misused constantly by people who want to absolve themselves of the responsibility to make any moral judgments at all. It’s led directly to the “live and let live” moral laziness that underpins the cultural rot that is everywhere today.

Honestly
Any parent on this forum has weathered this risk or storm
It’s life
You do the best you can
But once a teen girl discovers that itch and the power comes with it
No shortage of willing boys
This story is old as dirt
