A meticulously researched and engagingly written book exposes the Anglo-American elites who were dazzled by Hitler and worked to advance his cause.
Susan Ronald’s meticulously researched book, Hitler’s Aristocrats: The Secret Power Players in Britain and America Who Supported the Nazis, 1923-1941, begins with a dramatis personae including lords, ladies, barons, dukes, duchesses, and many more titles. It also includes a veritable who’s who of the industrialists, businessmen, bankers, socialites, and media barons of the time from both sides of the Atlantic. But the most prominent British name on the list is Edward, Duke of Windsor, who ascended the throne in 1936 as King Edward VIII, abdicated less than a year later and, in 1937, married Wallis Simpson, an American socialite.
The first chapter describes how disappointed Joachim von Ribbentrop, the German ambassador in London, was that he would be attending the 1937 coronation of Albert (George VI) and not Edward. Edward was enchanted with Adolf Hitler and Nazism and, later in the same year, visited Germany, met Hitler, dined with Rudolf Hess, and was taken on a concentration camp tour. As World War II was nearing its end, Edward is reported to have remarked that “it would be a tragic thing for the world if Hitler is overthrown.” If Hitler won the war, Edward hoped, he could be back as a “leader” in an England that did not want him as a king.
Hitler, too, was taken with Edward. The Fuhrer obliged when, at Edward’s suggestion, the British Legion, a charity that assisted war veterans, decided to visit Germany in the spirit of friendship. The visiting veterans were dazzled with a grand reception. They dined with Heinrich Himmler and were deceived into thinking that Hitler was a man of peace.

The left needs to be reminded that they LOVED Hitler up until the time he attacked the Soviet Union who they loved even more.
They left never stopped loving Hitler, they just went underground with it.
I personally believe many power players today have inherited much of their guidance from the socialist in Germany!
They pine for the days of Nazi supremacy, hoping to be the ones holding the reigns.
They were smart this time around. Instead of rallying around their fuhrer to achieve political leadership, they’ve rallied around a non-elected Schwab to hold non-government organizations and private industry in thrall, for a more pure form of fascism. Ensures that the reich will be more global in nature.
The Germans lost WWII.
But the Nazis won.
Fascination, not so much with Hitler, but a universal mysterious fascination with all things Natzi. What lies at the root of this Natzi fascination and why is it being downplayed in Ukraine?
Joe Kennedy?
Henry Ford?

Hitler was admired by much of the “power elite” of his day, who as today viewed the “common” citizens as peasants to be ruled not governed. His big mistake was attacking the USSR in June 1941. When their precious “great socialist experiment” was threatened, those same (misnamed) “elites”, lead by FDR turned on Hitler, and ensured his eventual defeat.
Then as now all forms of socialism is really just feudalism, MASTERS and serfs.
Safety and security are illusions. Many with material possessions and power have long sought to misuse their goods to chase these illusions. Many without material possessions and powerless have sought to trade their freedom, affections, political support and votes to chase these illusions.
You cannot be conned unless you have larceny in your heart. An honest individual knows There Ain’t No Such Thing As A Free Lunch (TANSTAAFL) because of the Second Law of Thermodynamics.
Each of us is one breath from eternity.
Once you are born, death is always imminent, not necessarily in the sense of the immediate future, but because the only hard and fast requirement to die, is to be born. Some find this truth to be terrifying, some find it liberating, most probably rarely, if ever, think about it.
Regardless of religion or ideology, survival demands that each individual works to fulfill his or her basic needs first. Some chose to use their effort and skills to produce goods and services of value that can be traded for their basic needs. In essence, capitalism is producing and trading our excess to obtain what we need.
Others believe they can cajole, manipulate, and control others to game the “system” to their benefit without producing anything of value. Invariably, they fail, inflicting enormous misery on their followers and the rest of humanity because the “system” they are trying to game is Reality, and Reality can’t be gamed.
The proof is that the graveyards of the world are full of indispensable people, because death is imminent for each and each of us is only one breath away from eternity.
Prescott Bush was a financer.
( I think Bernard Montgomery was a Nazi lover also )

Yup.
Guilds are now called ‘ unions’.
Fascism was initially promoted as a progressive, liberal, political philosophy advocating for Women’s Suffrage, Universal Employment, and Universal Healthcare. Following the end of WW1 the middle and worker classes were angry with the ruling classes for leading them into the slaughter and Fascism was viewed as a less radical solution than Soviet style Socialism.

Now we have the secret history of the so called American elite who work for Xi.
Some tings never change only time does.
When Hess was sentenced to life in prison, one of conditions of that imprisonment was that no one including his jailers would be able to interview him and make notes about all of his time with Hitler and the Nazi party. Several observers noted that the elites in the USA and Great Britian feared that Hess would name names even more extensive than Susan Ronald has done.

IOW, the book starts out not making a lick of sense. Democrat author.

That’s odd because the Soviets wanted him dead. Why would the Brits keep him alive for all those years if they thought he might blab? If they really wanted to silence him they would have gone along with the Soviets.
