From the youtube description:
Rick Derringer tearing it up with Ringo Starr and Edgar Winter in concert playing Rock and Roll Hootchie Koo including an amazing Rick Derringer Solo.
Derringer did indeed tear it up. And he had Edgar singing backup here. RD never seemed to stray too far from Edgar and Johnny.
One of my favorite Rick Derringer Tunes is “Still Alive and Well”. I post a YouTube video of it every January celebrating the fact that I am.

Yeah, I was eventually going to post a link to that song. Just a cool, really talented guy. With his head on seemingly straight.
I was going to say, “No Eddie Van Halen tapping there! THat’s the old-fashioned hard way!” Then he broke into something VERY definitely inspired by Eruption around 5:15
.
Hang on Sloopy
That is a great video, one of my favorites. Chuck Ruff on drums is hilarious, they are all having a blast.
I learned of this song in 1993 with the Dazed and Confuzed soundtrack.
Saw Rick Derringer at a small club in New Haven while dating my wife-to-be.
Saw Ringo Starr with an earlier iteration of his All-Starr Band (Randy Bachman, Mark Farner, John Entwhistle).
Saw Edgar Winter with Leon Russell in an old refurbished theater.
For added kicks, look up: "Sloopy Girl" - the video is a gas!
Wonder if this is the one I remember.
I saw the Edgar Winter Group in 1973 in Philly. Derringer wore a silver looking Eskimo suit and played the hell out of the guitar. Dan Hartman wore a one piece suit that had the bass pickups, bridge, and tailpiece built right into the suit with the neck attached. Good Times!
