A Connecticut artist had her nose bitten off by her boyfriend’s pit bull mix rescue when the pooch got spooked by her teeth-whitening device.
Olivia Quast, 30, from Thomaston, suffered horrific injuries to her face and arm during the Feb. 3 incident involving her boyfriend Graeme Stasyshyn’s 6-year-old dog, Bentley, which he’s had for four years.
Quast speculated that Bentley, who was abused as a puppy, might have been startled and provoked by her teeth-whitening mouth guard equipped with a UV light.

He better marry her and ditch the dog, quick.
"It was her teeth whitening that triggered it …"
Obviously her White Teeth Privilege was the cause of this attack.
I think I’d have to have someone else take the dog out.
There’s no way I wouldn’t want to settle accounts.
I don’t know about the UV light thingamabob as an excuse. Sounds like an insurance claim in the making.
“Warning: This will brighten your teeth but may set off attack dogs”
Well, everything should be just fine from here on out.
The precious dogs diet must be continued. Human noses.
I read this as the dog ripped her nose off and she was startled by her teeth whitening. Makes a little more sense the right way. Puppers of Peace.
After what his dog did its either marriage or she sues for every last cent he has. Not sure she should marry considering his lousy judgement.
Wouldn’t you know it. You finally got those pearly whites gleaming the way you wanted & the damn dog bites off your nose.
Currently dog sitting my sister’s dog who is also called Bentley. Not a pit bull though just a small white ball of fluff and maybe 10 pounds at most.
She says she loved the dog.
The boyfriend had it euthanized.
Not too far fetched. I was in line at a county rabies clinic and a granny and her large granddaughter had a pit bull on a leash. The dog went from friendly to growling/snapping in an instant.
The women explained that the dog got spooked by sunlight reflecting off of car windows. Pretty easily triggered if you ask me.
I cant tell from that pic if the whitening device worked or not.
I see the bite marks on her arm, but that’s a looonng cut. Was that from some surgery?
Tell me again why the chick was working on her teeth with a dog close by? Do they live together and everybody flosses together? Can’t remember the last time I called in a dog to help me brush my teeth? This is getting pretty close to deserving a Darwin award?
That’s some raggedass stitch work on that arm. Did the vet do it? I make a neater stich sewing up a bag of potatos.
Score another one for the dog of peace.
