Mexican authorities announced on Tuesday that two U.S. citizens who were abducted last week in Matamoros have been found dead, while two others have been discovered alive. One of the surviving individuals was injured, while the other was unharmed, according to Tamaulipas Governor Américo Villarreal.
The deceased were identified as Shaeed Woodard and Zindell Brown. The two who survived are Latavia Washington McGee and Eric Williams.
The FBI had been working alongside Mexican authorities in the search for the missing Americans, who were abducted on Friday.
A family member of one of the victims revealed on Monday that they had traveled together from South Carolina so that one of them could undergo a tummy tuck surgery with a Matamoros-based doctor.
As they entered Mexico, they were caught in the crossfire between rival cartel groups, and a video later surfaced showing them being forced into the back of a pickup truck by armed gunmen.

Mexican officials have confirmed that a Mexican woman was also killed in the shooting.
“We want to see accountability for the violence that has been inflicted on these Americans that tragically led to the death of two of them,” said US State Department spokesperson Ned Price. “When it comes to the drug cartels, we’re going to do what is most effective to limit their ability to traffic in their wares. This is something that our colleagues at the DEA are extremely focused on. We have laws on the books, we have designated these criminal organizations, these drug trafficking organizations, consistent with the authorities that we as a government have.”
2 Americans kidnapped in Mexico brought back to the US
The four Americans were kidnapped last week in Mexico, where one of them was getting a medical procedure.
Two Americans, who survived a violent kidnapping in Mexico have returned to the United States and have been transported to a hospital in Texas.
“The two survivors have since been repatriated back to the United States,” State Department spokesperson Ned Price said at a news conference Tuesday. “That occurred with the assistance of our Mexican partners, with the assistance of our officials in Mexico. We are in the process of working to repatriate the remains of the two Americans who were killed in this incident.”
I honestly have no information regarding these folks.
I do have to ponder if they were trying to whip up a good
deal South of the border, and it fell out.
My family used to go down to Mexico, and I really enjoyed
it down there. Now I wouldn’t travel down there at all.
Sorry to see these folks went through a very tough and
partly fatal situation.

Gee, I wonder why Mexican cartels would have experienced a case of “mistaken identity” and thought those 4 were competitors infringing on their territory.
That’s a mystery right there.

When the story came out about the tummy tuck, I assumed it was four women on a little adventure, which made some sense. Three men and one woman…..nope. Could have been a multi-purpose trip? I see she has quite a tat on her upper chest .
If they wanted to score some weed they should have just driven to Missouri. Less chance of getting capped, as long as they avoid the Lou...
I think two of the four were cousins of the woman, who wanted that procedure. I don’t know which two of the three men were killed. I’m wondering who was filming the group as they were being abducted? That is never explained.
This might be as it appears, one woman who wanted a procedure to make her look slimmer. Three men who knew her. All are from Myrtle Beach, S.C.
Her mother warned her not to go. It was naive to go through all this just to save money for an elective procedure.

You know, I’ve seen so many women that most guys would love
to be with, go for procedures that simply do not matter to
the guy, or if they did, he’s the wrong guy.
I once knew one of the cutest women I’ve ever seen. Just a
real vivacious blond about 5’ 7”, bubbly, cutest smile,
a great figure.
She got it into her head she needed larger breasts. I’m
telling you, she was absolute perfection in that area.
She went and had it done. You could barely tell, but she
was sure she was such a better catch afterwards. Not!
Too bad these guys went along and died.
The names are given at some point. I noted the ones that
died but can’t tell you now.
