By coinky-dinky, Luis Alvarez was an experimentalist. His unshared physics Nobel was in 1974 I think. The last unshared physics Nobel was in 1992, and most of those unshared physics Nobels in the preceding 20 years or so were awarded somewhat as lifetime achievement awards before the groundbreaking physicists died off. Among all the awards, there is just one — John Bardeen — who has won it twice (for the transistor, and for superconductivity work), each time shared with two others.

Jack Parsons was the Scientology connection with JPL. When the family watched that documentary on Scientology a few (five? more?) years back, the mention of Jack Parsons startled me.

The mention (last three minutes) and short discussion of Bob Lazar was interesting. Before you start, know that I regard Lazar as non-credible.
The book “Out There” was a journalistic deep dive into the activities of the then-current “UFO Working Group”. I *think* (not having the book right here) that he was the one brought in to give a presentation on that earlier research, then sat down to join the meeting, but was then told to leave because the activities were compartmented.

With a mind uncluttered by the facts nor burdened by any relevant training, education or experience let me comment on the nature of reality.
I’m pretty sure time is an illusion comprised of all the dimensions beyond the familiar three. We call time a fourth dimension but it is the only one forcing us to move through it. Regarding the familiar three, we can move in any direction at any speed we want. With time we can’t.

My pleasure. At first I wasn’t going to, but I got more and more interested as I listened to the vid, then started to build the various postings, then just went ahead. It has gone well, none of the usual pissing and moaning the UFO topics usually receive.

There was and remains a lot of confusion about what is “official” .gov vs what is just “hobbyists” who happen to work for .gov.—and whether their “hobby” is a real hobby or just a cover story for whatever agency they work for at a time.
Compartmentalization and “special access” programs combined with disinformation along with a little sprinkling on con artists and deluded crazies has created a mess—true Alice in Wonderland stuff.
Time being an illusion is also an interesting topic that pops up in philosophies and theologies. And good presentation, btw, what are often called facts often turn out to be an illusion.

History has shown that almost everything homo sapiens believed was total and complete garbage—designed by the elites and their witch doctors to keep the masses ignorant and the elites and the witch doctors in power.
I have seen no persuasive evidence that it is different today.
