Academy Award winner Cate Blanchett is so disgusted by woke critics condemning her new movie, Tár, she’s ready to leave Hollywood for good, RadarOnline.com has learned.
In the psychological drama, the acclaimed Aussie actress, 53, who was nominated for an Oscar for the role, plays the first female conductor of a German orchestra, a power-mad, abusive lesbian. But showing a homosexual woman in such an unflattering light has sparked outrage among the Tinseltown thought police.
“Cate was really hurt and bothered over the way woke Hollywood trashed Tár,” spilled an insider. “She’s accused of being ‘anti-woman’, which she finds ridiculously unfair given that many of her roles are of powerful women.
“She is so sick and tired of the twisted showbiz politics, she’s tempted to just abandon her career and bail on Hollywood until this stupidity subsides, if it ever does,” said the source.
Cate, who lives in the U.S. with her husband, Andrew Upton, 57, sons Dashiell, 21, Roman, 18, and Ignatius, 14, and adopted daughter Edith, 7, recently confessed she years to return to her more laid-back homeland.
“I would love to learn to be patient, to be still and think,” she said. “I really want to spend time in the garden with my mum.”
Money talks and BS walks and she’ll never give up the $$$, she will whine and complain, but take a stand and walk away...never happen.
She was down with it all until her ox got gored.

I like Blanchette. She was hilarious in Blue Jasmine. And there is a scene in Tar where she goes after a woke snowflake that is satisfying. Hopefully she is waking up.

Hollywood is full of power-mad, abusive lesbians. They're just upset foreigners are taking their rightful roles.

Cate Blanchett is a good actress, have seen many of her movies. Very talented.
That is why I just say no.
It is cool that you noticed reality. But I am not inclined to lift a finger considering you called me everything but a nice person for warning you where this was leading.
And if she thinks the UK is any more "laid back" she is about to get slapped with another fish.

She is a very good actress.
I hope she keeps her word. I 100% believe she won’t, sadly.
It’s actually a pretty damn good movie. And as a graduate of one of those famous conservatories, I’m pretty certain her anti-woke diatribes are pretty much what I would have expected if I had pulled any of this woke crap with my teachers back then .
Best movie she was ever in was Bandits with Bruce Willis and Billy Bob Thornton
