Four men charged with the murder of Santa Cruz tech executive Tushar Atre are set to appear in court on Tuesday.
The suspects are accused of killing Atre in October 2019, a highly publicized death that left the community shocked.
Atre, a wealthy tech executive who had recently entered the cannabis industry, was found dead on one of his properties. The accused men were arrested in May 2020 after an investigation.
The suspects were identified as Stephen Lindsay, Joshua Camps, Kurtis Charters and Kaleb Charters.
Camps is accused of using an automatic weapon to shoot and kill Atre. The other three defendants are charged with seven counts and with multiple enhancements.
The trial is set to begin in April. The accused men are scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday for a preliminary hearing.
They say one is more likely to die in a drug deal than be executed in Texas. I guess there is some carry over to the legal version.
Cartel hit
What? The Irish cartel?
They all met at a local church??
Did "the cannabis industry" become less dangerous after it became legal?
Was he a child abuser? His killers were mere children.
No idea. I assume it was just about money. Anything to do with drugs, it's usually about money.
