A heartfelt tributes has been paid to a Royal Marine commando and dad-of-two who has died "suddenly" at the age of 36. Christopher Wood, who was affectionately known as 'Woody' to those who knew him, died on February 12.
A memorial service for him is due to take place at Kirkleatham Memorial Park, near Redcar, in North Yorkshire, on Wednesday, March 8. An emotional tribute in memory of Christopher has been posted recently in the funeral notices., Teesside Live reports.
It reads: "Christopher WOOD (Woody RM) [died] suddenly on the 12th February aged 36. Beloved son of Alison and Stepson of Darren, adored dad of Jaiden and Harley.
"Much loved big brother of Lizzie and Maisie, cherished grandson of Tony and Marilyn, forever loved nephew and cousin of Vicky, Poppy and Morgan. Forever loved and a friend to many from childhood friends and his comrades in the Royal Marine Commandos."
The service at the memorial park will take place next Wednesday at 12pm. All enquries should be sent to Roseberry Funeral Service in Guisborough who can be contacted on 01287 260180.
