Who's behind Ron DeSantis, then?

I have some genuine questions and I have no malice against Ron DeSantis or his supporters but a few things trouble me about him!

He has the tacit support of the Bushes.

I know they want anyone but Trump but as one Freeper put it: Will he blow kisses back?

What does having their support mean? Does it mean Karl Rove becomes an advisor? Campaign cash, staff and what not?

Think about it.

It's not just some throw away endorsement by them it comes with serious muscle, donors, etc.

He's also visiting Texas instead of CPAC.

Will he be hanging out with Ron Paul or the Bush clan?

This will be telling to me.

I notice Fox and Murdoch are also pushing him heavily.

Again, anyone but Trump is the cry but that also comes with serious muscle and TV/media coverage.

Will DeSantis sell his soul for all this and to try and be president and if he succeeded with all these connections just WHAT kind of president will he be?

THIS is what I'm thinking and what worries me.

I much prefer Trump the disruptor. Tried and tested and you know what you're getting.

Whether you like him or not Ron is much more of a conventional politician.

Interesting. Thanks for sharing. I have not been vaxxed, but most of my family and friends, have been. Few have shown any significant ill effects from it, at least so far. There are risks with any medication and any vaccine. The risks from the Covid vaxxes, particularly the Pfizer vaxx, might be greater than for most, and people should be allowed to decide for themselves whether the risks outweigh the potential rewards - which is why I’m against mandates.

But people forget that close to 80% of Americans have now received some form of Covid vaccination. Clearly, if they were as dangerous as some people imply, we would be witnessing deaths on a scale that we’re not seeing.

It must be tough living in Washington. I'm a Gonzaga grad, and the vast majority of my peers are woke as hell. They treated John Stockton horribly last year. He couldn't attend games in the arena where his jersey hangs in the rafters, because he wouldn't wear a mask.

I loved my years in Spokane, it's not a liberal hell hole like Seattle.

I've always said I'd go back to Spokane in a heartbeat, but that's not realistic now. My 3 kids and grandkids all live within 30 minutes of me, I'm not giving that up. If the opportunity arose, I'd move to either, the Hill Country (Fredericksburg), or Traben-Trarbach, a lovely town along the Mosel River. I lived there for 4 years when I was stationed in Germany.

Add up all those anecdotes, and they don’t add up to ONE million. Also the adverse effects are not proven that the vaccine was sole cause.
Less than 1 million unproven adverse effects is about 0.2%
In other words 99.8% have not reported bad effects.

Absolutely. And while I think some of the over-reaction comes from ordinary people who are letting their emotions get the better of them., I suspect some influencers are using it to drive a wedge between Trump and his MAGA base.

Clearly you do not live in PA. Ask any Pennsylvania FReeper to confirm, but we had a black woman named Kathy Barnette in the GOP primary to be Senate candidate. She was rising fast in the polls as conservatives were coalescing around her. She was going into the black neighborhoods and telling how she was an abortion survivor.

Scumbag Trump and Hannity LIED about Barnette's Tweets as homophobic without showing them. Trump went on about Barnette with the same LIES because she was in a tie for first place in the primary.

Trump/Hannity and the GOP establishment wanted their friend Dr Oz or McCormick to be the nominee.

Barnette offered to come on Hannity's show and answer any question with no conditions. Hannity blocked her but kept making the accusations and saying she needed to answer for her Tweets.

That type of slimeball behavior sunk Trump in Pennsylvania among real conservatives. Dr Oz is a dual Turkish citizen who support assault weapon bans, genital mutilation of children and lockdowns.

So, take your 6-time loser Trump and shove him.....He burned his bridges with the good conservatives of Pennsylvania and will never win this state.

Trump's constant support of leftwing and RINOs is enough. He has not learned any lesson and is making the deep state deeper.

My thoughts are that they want to get Biden/Harris re-elected
and about 1/2 thru the term Biden steps down, Harris becomes
the President and can be elected for two more full terms. jmo

I’ve always believed that was the original plan. They were hoping Harris would prove herself and be more popular so they could depend on her finishing up Biden’s last year as Pres. and then be the candidate for 2024. But she’s been such a huge disappointment to them they don’t know what to do now.
I think they’d drop Joe in a minute if they could find a strong candidate for 2024.
