Former Vice President Mike Pence still won't say whether he's running for president next year, and he won't speak ill of his ex-boss, former President Donald Trump. But in an interview with CBS News in Michigan on Wednesday, he also twice declined to commit to supporting Trump if he is the Republican presidential nominee.
Instead, Pence said he believes voters in 2024 will choose "wisely again," as they did in 2016. But said he thinks "different times call for different leadership."
"I'm very confident we'll have better choices come 2024," he told CBS News political correspondent Caitlin Huey-Burns. "And I'm confident our standard-bearer will win the day in November of that year."

Well no, that’s just it. How is he being “consistent”.
What about all that stuff he said leading up to the 2016 election, presumably about what a great guy DT was. I don’t follow VP stuff too much. But there is this huge elephant in the room. There is a perception, rightly or wrongly, that Trump was robbed, held by millions of people. Pence did not exactly cover himself in glory, as it were, in response to this. I understand “why”, I guess. But then we’re right back to where we started. Was he lying then, or is he lying now?
Further, when are “Republicans” going to stop allowing the media to choose their candidates? If you’ve noticed, practically every time they lose. Funny, that.

Yep, and they’re all scared sh*tless that the peasants are going to “get woke” and vote for the only candidate who puts the best interests of America and the “peasants” front and center of every policy decision he makes. I’d love Trump to announce that Pence is out of the running for VP. That’s all the debate will be; an audition for VP.
I cannot imagine a better endorsement myself.
I’m not sure. That’s a GOP event, not a Trump event. Although Trump will have some input. Romney-McDaniel is certain to eff it up.

I didn’t think Pence could get any lower, but I was wrong.
He shouldn’t bother giving interviews and go back to private life if he wants to avoid answering these questions.
