I’ve always thought that was the funniest scene. Calmly throwing chum in the water not even looking for a possible shark. He did a great job of looking frighted. A true “Oh, Shit!” moment on his face.

Then the follow up of we need a bigger boat

I think I read somewhere that the scene was pretty much ad-libbed...

My Mom has always been an avid reader. When I was in HS she handed me ‘Jaws’ and said, “You’ve GOT to read this!” Scared the cr@p out of me - I hate open water to begin with; too many things in there that want to EAT you! The beach was TOTALLY ruined for me that summer...and that was just on a lake, LOL!

Later, ‘Jaws’ was the first R-rated movie I ever sneaked into. Regretted that too, LOL!

But, as an adult it is an awesome book & movie.

When I lived in CA, we had free passes (Navy) to Universal Studios and went on the ‘Jaws’ boat ride. The ‘shark’ came right up to my side of the boat, about as close as it was to Roy in the movie.

Good, SCREAMING, terrifying fun! :)
