What’s with the music being played while the golfers are playing? And is there some kind of wacky team format? Thanks.
I did not watch either—but I hope the LIV takes off and crushes the PGA monopoly.

The Honda Classic had an exciting playoff, but the field was weak. Sad for Jacks event. LIV is having an impact on the PGA Tour.
The Honda was one of the lower prize money events, next week the Arnold Palmer event will have a stronger field.
The real news is the bottom (48th) getting $120K. That’s really where LIV is going to eat the PGA. Bottom of the table guys in the PGA make next to nothing. Guys that finished 49th in the Honda got $20K and last got $15K. Trying to grind out a living below the top 20 in the PGA is a nightmare, it’s basically play every weekend, with all the hotel and travel that implies, to squeeze out a middle class life. Give these guys the ability to make 6 times as much they’ll beat a path to LIV’s door.
Honda did draw a very weak field - a lot of the top players took the week off as the tour transitioned from the West Coast to Florida. With Arnold Palmer’s tournament this week followed by The Player’s and then the quick run-up to The Master’s, it was a good opportunity.
And Charles Howell III... good for him! He’s always been just outside the very elite on the PGA Tour. Great payday.
While not exactly a Who's Who among golf pros, all good solid players. And LIV needs players to fill out fields agains the bigger names.
Have you noticed on the PGA showing that the first hour is indoctrination about black people becoming golfers and how special they are?
The Sunday version of PGA was unwatchable. Too much stupid talk and not enough coverage of what it was supposed to be, namely golfing.
I tired of being lectured to from rich celebs preaching about the blacks.
So 100% done with pro sports
Any of you guys following these clowns and their 4 million dollar payouts are freaking losers
I couldn't disagree more. The Honda was exciting, great competition. The Mexico course was pedantic. The players were more well known, yes... but, there was ZERO drama.
