Trying this fulvic acid / seaweed extract mixture with water as a foliar spray. Supposed to be great for all plants at all stages. 10 milliliters fulvic acid / 4 milliliters seaweed extract, into a quart of water. I’ve sprayed my plants with it once so too soon to say if it’s going to make a difference. It did leave black marks on the leaves as it looks like iodine got it stains so be careful spraying it near walls or painted objects.

Is this for feeding the plant, or for disease control?
Does ‘fulvic acid’ have another name? I don’t recognize it.
Would this be for more acid-loving plants like Blueberries and Hydrangea?

Some cool quizzes on your links. I’m not doing very well on them.

I messed up on the first one; confused Coriander and Parsley seedlings. And THIS, Boys and Girls, is why you MARK YOUR FLATS or Garden Rows. ;)
Otherwise, I’m holding my own. Pretty amazing for only having ONE cup of coffee in me so far! :)

We are getting heavy heavy rain in So California right now. It's been raining, hard, for over 24 hours.
I am looking forward to spring - the rain washes out the soil, we have heavily mineralized water here which stunts plants' growth and blooming. I suspect I'll see a few things bloom that I haven't seen bloom in years.
I told these two to go on look-out duty - to keep raccoons, squirrels and tree rats from stealing from my citrus trees.

We just had a bad ice storm, and a dusting of snow again overnight, but starting today we’re back into the 40’s, so that’s making quick work of it. Beau has been collecting sap from the Maple trees for syrup; it should run good again this week.
So, I agree! :)

It made me realize I haven’t done vegetable gardening in a while. I was better with the flowers quiz.

I’ve been noticing the bluebirds are checking out each of the 4 houses I have to see which would make a nice home for babies. It’s a little early yet for building a nest, but they look like they’re getting plans drawn up.

MWH! Diana!
Well! Very nice welcome mat to Diana's Gardening thread!
(I will avoid wiping my digital boots on it!)

I got four right and four wrong.
Nevertheless, I shall continue to fill the (indoor) seedling trays with soil and seeds.
Tomatoes, peppers, romaine lettuce, basil.
That's all I'm doing this year.
Doing major work just to feed the wildlife seems almost dumb. (But not really...)
Getting a slightly late start this year.
Thanks for the quiz!
