Newspapers pulled Adams's 'Dilbert' comics and the left thundered its umbrage after Adams reacted to a poll suggesting significant bigotry among black respondents.
We know that the left is always looking for an opportunity to silence those who challenge their groupthink. Their target isn’t only conservatives but anybody who disagrees with their worldview even in the slightest possible way.
They left lives in the hope that contrarians to their groupthink will either misspeak or express a nuanced and detailed idea that can be extracted, stripped of context, and made to appear bigoted. This gives them reason to mount a social media campaign and initiate cancellation.
Yesterday it was satirist and thinker Scott Adams's turn to be cancelled.
USAToday announced that it would stop publishing Adams's "Dilbert" cartoon because they ‘lead with inclusion and strive to maintain a respectful and equitable environment for the diverse communities we serve nationwide.’
Cleveland’s Plain Dealer newspaper also decided not to publish any of Adam’s cartoons.
John Hiner of MLive Media in Michigan wrote in an editorial, “We will work quickly to find a replacement that will entertain you and not violate basic standards of decency and respect for others.”
Many other outlets followed and did away with Adams.
Adams has been producing Dilbert for three decades and they are seen as a devastatingly satirical commentary on workplace policies.
What did Scott Adams do such that he merited cancellation?
Adams become a nationwide trending topic after he said that black people are "a hate group and I don't want to have anything to do with them."
He also said the following:
"Based on the current way things are going, the best advice I would give to white people is to get the hell away from black people."

You think it’s bad now with the ‘cancel culture.’ Wait until they completely corrupt AI, which they are fast about doing, programming in their biases and canceling truth in all the AI platforms. It’s happening right now as we speak. Future AI analysis of data and work product will be tilted ‘subtly’ only one way - - in favor of wokism. That’s why I am so critical of AI.
He did this knowing what the reaction would be. I’m waiting for his next move.

We’ve spent time in the Bahamas and have friends there, many are mixed race, they range from black as night to white in appearance. They are fantastic, sweet and accepting people and I love them. We’re going there next spring for bonefish and permit fishing, we have a fishing guide friend there.

If you’re not in lock-step with the Left then you’re not ‘diverse’ enough for them. They exclude you in the interest of inclusiveness.

Based upon what I hear from the wokesters and blacks, day in and day out, WOULDN’T THEY WELCOME THIS? Whites are evil, whites are racist, whites are haters. Sounds like just what they would want at this point…
It’s fine to have individual friends, but if you’re out and about and you see a grouping, get outta there.

I was traveling this week and stayed at a hotel a few nights. The other morning at the breakfast room off to the side of the hotel lobby, a mother waddled in with a boy who looked to be about 3. The boy was quiet and showing some excellent behavior but not good enough for the mom who at one point shouted out loud enough to make my ears hurt...”you get ovah here right now or I’ll beat the sh!t outta ya!”
Talk about heart breaking.... Who talks like that to a 3 year old? What kind of person would remotely consider uttering that kind of language and exhibiting that kind of behavior in a public space let alone in private? What lessons are being learned by that 3 year old and what behavioral patterns are being set into motion and what will he be like by the time he gets to be a teenager? I regret I didn’t say something but the first thought I had was that anything I say would quickly escalate into something that was far worse. What to do, what to do.... pray for that boy and his mom.

I use newspapers to start fires in my wood burning stove and no other reason.
I’m sorry, but being white today means shut up, step aside, hand over your stuff and take your ass beating. Now put your meat suit on and walk through bear country.
Probably the newspapers canceling are all owned by the media companies.
Well, that IS a pretty radical thing to say…in public.
But, nonetheless, I’ve long tired of this faux “tolerance” (really celebration) of various groups, and wish people would just be allowed to think or say what they wish. It’s up to us if we like it or not, but most of such statements shouldn’t be means to fire someone, much less jail them.
The commie way in America is to try to use our traditional systems of fairness and justice against itself. We cannot yet jail them, but let’s make them such pariahs they cannot make a living and will actually be forced to be “homeless”…which is kind of funny since that’s another grouping commies love.
