There are other meds which can cause skin problems. For example, diuretics can pull fluid away from cellular tissue resulting in a body's inability to maintain a homeostatic balance in an organ (s), such as internal body temperature.

Once fluid is driven from the cells the result can be a serious change in body temperature and a process of external defoliation (shedding) which seems bizarre but I have witnessed it. (Anecdotal account I realize, but certainly verifiable I am sure. It is simply not my area.)
