With an eye toward winning back the House and Senate in the 2022 midterm elections, former President Donald Trump has begun crafting a policy agenda outlining a MAGA doctrine for the party. His template is the 1994 “Contract with America,” a legislative agenda released ahead of the midterm elections in the middle of President Bill Clinton’s first term. And, as a cherry on top, he’s teaming up with its main architect — Gingrich — to do it.

You just basically told the red state voting base that voting Republican would mean sending more of their tax money to blue states with sky high cost of living thanks in many parts to stupid Dim policies. No thanks. You might as well try to convince Monks to pay for other people's abortions, or convince Sooners fans to pay for other teams' defenses.
Republicans aren’t going to win SQUAT if nothing is done about cheat-by-mail-in ballots, no signature verification, no chain-of-custody for ballots, counting ballots without republican observers, counting votes for days to weeks after Election Day, kicking out republicans because of a “bursting pipe” while hidden suitcases full of ballots are then counted through the night, unsupervised drop boxes, Dominion machines that send an unusually high amount of ballots to “adjudication,” and the sabotaging of voting machines on Election Day by printing ballots that the machines can’t read and programming the ‘shrink to fit’ command on Election morning.
*A contract would force the Democrats to debate policy instead of just being in character assassination mode all the time.*
You sure got that right. I’m telling’ ya we got em by the short hairs.
>Republicans propose ideas that are largely financial. They need to be talking about the Bill of Rights, God, and the nuclear family.
The finances drive the result. Example: In the early 1960s, most Black families were traditional two-parent households.
The social programs rewarded poor families who broke up with eligibility for a variety of giveaways. We pay to encourage broken families, so we get broken families. The Dem racists encourage this in the Black community by fostering the victim culture so people think they’re ‘owed’ something and it’s their ‘right’ to take government handouts, when reality they’re being manipulated into becoming the culture of helplessness, crime, and anti-work that plagues our cities.
By contrast one of the hidden wins in 1994 was the enforced time limits on TANF (cash assistance). Newt was pilloried in the press and popularly for his ‘withering on the vine’ quote. Years later, when even the exemptions for ‘poverty’ counties (every big city) ran out and, kicking and screaming blue states were forced to kick the lifers off cash, TANF is a tenth of its previous size.
Again one more time: The point of Oblammy-care isn’t to help people medically, it’s to get everyone hooked on government ‘benefits’ including doctors and networks who must now toe the line or lose big $. Money *is* social policy.
It all sounds great but he has a huge uphill battle. Those who were friendly in the past like “faux” news barely mention him now. Unless of course it has something to do with J6 or classified documents. Now it is all Nikki 24/7. If she isn’t a guest then it’s some profound soundbite of hers. It is nauseating!!
This would allow California to more effectively deal with homelessness...
You seem to believe homelessness can be cured with $$. Unfortunately, most homeless choose that life. Many have addiction, mental illness or both. Some shelters will not allow certain individuals in due to drug use, violence or sexual assault.
So how would throwing more money correct the problem??
Actually, Grover Norquist wrote The Contract with America and did absolutely nothing to address immigration.
Trump did better.
Seriously? He can construct a policy agenda until the cows come home but he will never be declared the winner of an election in 2024. Not with the election integrity as it is now (or lack of it)!!!!
My idea - include a Petroleum Restoration Act. Folks do vote with their wallet.
We’re not helping ourselves. Dino-like.
