An armed man driving a golf cart abducted a woman at gunpoint outside a Philadelphia Applebee’s after firing his weapon, police said.
The brazen kidnapping took place around 6:40 a.m. Saturday in the Port Richmond neighborhood, the Philadelphia Police Department said.
The woman was walking along Cumberland Street toward Aramingo Avenue when a man driving a maroon and black Polaris Northstar XP 1000 golf cart followed her, police said.
When the suspect reached the 2500 block of Aramingo Avenue, police said, he opened the driver’s door, pulled out a gun and fired a shot, which struck the ground in the WSFS bank parking lot.
The golf cart driver then crossed the street and pulled up in front of an Applebee’s eatery and a WaWa grocery store.

I didn't realize they could go that fast.
Wow!
Ban golf carts!
It’s not a golf cart, it’s an All Terrain Vehicle.
It could certainly speed up a round of golf....
The reporter noted that the victim is white. The suspect’s race is not disclosed although we know his jeans are blue and is beanie is green.
The ineptitude of the press these days breathtaking. A good bellwether of the general state of the upcoming generation. Raised without education, training, and any experience other than tapping a screen.
It's not ineptitude. They are not journalists, they are propagandists.
What is not said, says it.
Clearly, that is an Assault Golf Cart.
We must outlaw golf carts, so that only outlaws will have golf carts.
“Assault Golf Cart”
Yeah......with a bumper winch...you know, just in case you have to haul yourself out of a water hazard. 😏
Not a golf cart. A UTV/Side by Side

Just another stupid “journalist” that does not know what they are writing about.
FYI, the guy who runs my towns highway/road department cruises around in something similar. These things are like small pick up trucks. Ranchers love them.
They take the same 1000 cc engine that they put in a snowmobile and stick it in an off road vehicle.
A snowmobile with that engine will easily go over 120 mph.
I suspect the author, Snejana Farberov, takes the bus or subway to work at the Post. Probably does not have a drivers license.
From the Google:

Snejana speaks four languages, loves to travel and enjoys cooking and baking.
Grew up and went to college in NYC. Go figure
I wonder if she can pick out a can of shoe polish from a line up.
Should you ask, I do know the difference
Of course ranchers love them, because, for one thing, they can treat them like ranchers, and grain and livestock farmers, used to universally treat their plain, rubber floor, steel mirrored and bumpered pickups. These modern pickups would have cracked plastic and dents all over if they were used like my dad’s 52 and 65 chevy half tons. And carpeted floors had no place in the livestock and farming world I lived and worked in.
Golf cart propagandists?
