Perhaps the best of the film noir private dick movies ever! Great acting, script, cinematography. It checks all the boxes and then some!

Who can forget the classic lines too. Such as when Joel Cairo (Peter Lorre) is knocked out by Bogie and, when he comes to, says “Look what you have done to my shirt!!” And poor little Wilmer.....

I can only imagine the late night drinking sessions with Bogie and Ward Bond.....

After hearing of the hoopla about this film all these years, I recently got to watch it start to finish. Not sure what the hype was about. It was a bit of a mess as stories go and utterly forgettable. 🤷‍♂️

I remember that last scene so well when Humphrey Bogart said “Here’s looking at you kid” and he walked off into the fog and got lost and ended up in Casablanca where he played a piano in a bar..... : )
