Who can forget the classic lines too. Such as when Joel Cairo (Peter Lorre) is knocked out by Bogie and, when he comes to, says “Look what you have done to my shirt!!” And poor little Wilmer.....
I can only imagine the late night drinking sessions with Bogie and Ward Bond.....
I like MF - but I love The Big Sleep’.
It’s pretty funny when you hear they way they pronounce some of the names in this movie.
The wimpish bad guy hit-man sounds like his name is “Wilma” and the female love interest sounds like her name is “Mr. O’Shaughnessy”.

I have an exact replica of the Maltese Falcon. My nephew, as a serious hobby & side business, makes movie and nerd stuff replicas. I’m talking pretty darn exact. Impressive stuff.
He was asked by a “Goonies” Museum to loan them a replica prop he made from the movie.
My Maltese Falcon sits on a shelf next to our fireplace in the living room. It is pretty cool. Great conversation piece.
