Like range anxiety is their irrational fear???
12 times in 1500 miles? I’d have to stop that many times just to empty my bladder.
Oversized electric golf kart fanbois will not be amused by this denigration of their fetish.
Electric Golf Carts make complete sense. An electric car as an in-town errand runner... That makes sense too. But any distance travel, off road, back country, hard pass from me.
“from Michigan to Florida”
A two way trip I hope đ
12 stops for fuel, ranging from 20-55 minutes. Assume the average would be 37.5 minutes. Wasted 7.5 hours fueling the vehicle!! For an ICE, 12 stops at 5 minutes a stop = 1.0 hours fueling.
EVs are not designed to replace ICE vehicles. Their sole purpose is to provide an excuse to BAN ICE vehicles forcing an end to freedom of movement. You will not be allowed to own an ICE vehicle, you cannot afford an EV, therefore you must move to a dense urban environment giving up all freedom of movement (just to name one of the freedoms that is being taken from us).
Anyone who is honest knows that EVs are a liberal fad. The SCIENCE proves EV lithium batteries are highly destructive to the environment, far more than ICE vehicles. At best an EV is a short distance, in-town commuter car. EVs are the compact fluorescent cars of today. I’ll wait for a hydrogen car from Toyota.
Wait until 1 million of the damn things are on the road. Blackouts and road boulders.
They should have tried Michigan to Seattle. That would have been SERIOUS range anxiety

I recall reading about an adult brother and sister duo who did the same thing late last summer, and having much the same results. It should be clear by now, an electric only car, as it exists today, is not fit for long term driving.
That should no longer be a big surprise.
They Need ‘D’ cells in them!
My buddy won’t take his Tesla more than 50 miles away from battery anxiety. He drives his wife’s F150 for trips.
Theres a lot of room in the back of that car, I just looked at the pictures. They could have easily put a 10KW Generator in the back and used it to charge their car whenever they wanted.
A 9500W Predator at Harbor Freight is only $2500 and they work quite well and are very quiet, I have 2
But, but, but... what about the jobs for 6 year olds living in 3rd world countries digging the rare earth elements needed for the batteries? What will they do if battery operated cars don’t sell?

Sounds like the American dream.
Just another reason not to buy an EV.
Is AAA equipped with HUGE trucks with HUGER battery packs for charging broken-down cars?
When EVs outnumber normal cars, the highways will be a disaster, with stalled cars everywhere, and tow trucks needing 20 minutes to give you enough of a charge to get home.
