Luft: Air
Hansa: Wagon or cart.
Little trivia: my grandfather flew for the Germans in WWI and helped start Lufthansa. He was stripped of rights for obvious reasons , but fellow pilots effectively smuggled him to Argentina, having him pretend to be part of a flight crew.
