I Married a Witch is a 1942 American fantasy romantic comedy film, directed by René Clair, and starring Veronica Lake as a witch whose plan for revenge goes comically awry, with Fredric March as her foil. The film also features Robert Benchley, Susan Hayward and Cecil Kellaway.

I saw Veronica Lake and said to myself “it can’t be true”.
Interesting. Alan Ladd who played opposite her in her most famous screen turn in ‘This Gun For Hire’ was also a boozer who died young.
LOL 😂
Fun movie and Veronica Lake was a beauty.
Great movie. Thanks for posting.
I’m in love with Veronica. Wow, what a charmer and such a silky voice.
This YouTube version is Criterion and is flawless. No need to watch on Netflix.
That was a good one, but Bell, Book, and Candle with Kim Novak and Jimmy Stewart was my fave!
Along with Bell, Book and Candle. Watched the movie night before last. Its been good every time I’ve watched it.
I wasn’t clear Bell Book and Candle was also inspiration of Bewitched.
I’m on a metered broadband plan through my cell phone carrier. Watching mocies on youtube eats up too much of the plan. Besides, the Netflix rental plan is already budgeted. Thanks for the info tho.
I saw "I Married A Witch" a few nights ago based on recommendation here. Veronica Lake was great as the beguiling witch but the man she trying to win over was a real stiff. Sort of like Darrin on the TV show "Bewitched."
Thanks for the info but I don’t have a TV. In fact, I haven’t watched TV since 2008.
I have this movie in my Netflix rental queue and will receive it some time later this year. I currently have 15 movies in the queue and I Married... is number 14. I get two movies at a time so it will be awhile.
