An apologist is a person who argues in defense of someone who is under attack and can't defend himself. Every defense lawyer in civil and criminal law is one, preserving the fundamental right to a fair trial that is otherwise impossible when only the prosecution is allowed to speak, such as in the case of Vladimir Putin. But I don't defend Putin only because he, like every other human being, deserves the fair hearing he has so far been denied. I do it because I am trained in Christian Apologetics to defend the far more important biblical mandate of truth-telling.
Based on my own due diligence, I believe Vladimir Putin is legally and ethically in the right in the matter of Russia's "Special Military Operation" (a position I explained last March in my essay on Putin talking points and the Monroe Doctrine) and that both the U.S./U.K. deep state that orchestrated the war, and the controlled liberal and neo-con media spoon feeding its propaganda to the American people, are as thoroughly dishonest as the devil himself. Thus, as a truth-loving Christian attorney, I would not hesitate to take the role of Putin's defense counsel in the matter of the Ukraine war and, if the trial court were a genuinely just venue where all the facts and evidence (the heart of which is well summarized and documented here) could be fairly presented to a truly impartial jury, I would be highly confident in victory for my client.
This is not to deny that Ukraine has become hell on earth for the Ukrainian people – whom I dearly love in Christ, grieve for and have personally ministered to on a mission trip there and in other contexts. The issue is who is actually responsible for first unleashing that hell…

Lively is listed in the Southern Poverty Law Center's "Extremist Files", which describes him as "actively propagandizing against LGBT people since the early 1990s."[39] Abiding Truth Ministries has been listed by the Southern Poverty Law Center as an anti-gay hate group.[40] Lively has, in turn, accused the SPLC of "hypocrisy and anti-Christian extremism".[41] The American Family Association, the California branch of which Lively has directed, is also regarded by the Southern Poverty Law Center as a hate group.[42]
He does like Russia:
In 2006, Lively met with Latvian pastor Alexey Ledyaev to form an international anti-gay organization called Watchmen on the Walls,...After his trip to Latvia, Lively then embarked on a fifty-city tour of Russia and other former Soviet republics, sponsored by Ledyaev's church, which had roughly 200 congregations and a regional TV channel. As Lively traveled from the Baltics to Siberia, he pressed officials to outlaw the "public advocacy of homosexuality" and urged officials from passing anti-discrimination laws....On August 30, 2013, in response to anti-LGBT legislation in Russia, Lively wrote an open letter addressed to Vladimir Putin saying, "You have set an example of moral leadership that has shamed the governments of Western Europe and North America and inspired the peoples of the world."[16] - https://en.wikipedia.org
What's certainly true is that the world would be very different today had the US remained officially and de facto neutral.
So I could make a long list of differences we'd see today, but the most immediate one was victory for the German Empire, which would then stretch from Belgium and Northern France to the Baltics and Black Sea.
France and Britain would have defaulted on their war debts to the US, around $6 trillion in today's values and that would have brought on the Great Depression in 1919, ten years before the actual 1929 US stock market crash.
Sure, people claim, there would never be a Second World War if Germany won the First, but that's pure nonsense.
The fact is that young Franklin Roosevelt learned firsthand from living in Germany (briefly) how arrogant and dominating German elites had become.
Just like Vlad the Invader today, they would constantly push against their weaker neighbors until they found enough resistance to declare war, and so the German Empire would grow until it felt strong enough to take on France & Britain again, this time existentially for them.
Key point to remember: nothing Hitler said or did during the Second World War was new to him, all of it had roots in the German Empire of the First World War.
So we would not like the world that resulted, had the US stayed out of the First World War.
