Why is it that these asswipes like Clapper think the average American citizen can’t read? (That excludes the below average citizen that can’t read, but they are Democrats.) The letter was published. People read it.

The buried reality is not that James Clapper remained silent, but that every single signer remained silent. I believe that it was all done intentionally, and exactly the way it came off. They knew how the news story would be written before it was written, because they had provided that part as well. The word earmarks was chosen to provide cover later on should the Republicans regain the House. They got the benefit of 2 years before the Republicans finally did regain the House.

While McCarthy was the desired Republican to be selected as the Speaker of the House, something happened on the way to the forum. Then surprisingly, McCarthy actually followed through on the concessions he had made, so then the investigations began, much to the chagrin of every signer.
