Around 20 of the 50 cars that derailed were transporting hazardous materials, including vinyl chloride, a toxic and flammable gas. you, among all Freepers, should know: Such "hazardous" chemicals are transported EVERY DAY, all over the country. Accidents are rare.
Vinyl Chloride is not a huge immediate threat... other than the explosion potential. It's more of a LONG term exposure threat. No one in Ohio should be overly concerned about long-term exposure. It will be cleaed up.
