Used to know a NYC fireman who said,

“Do you think I’d run into a burning building if I was sober?!?!”

If workers are falling in the chocolate, what else is in there?

So much for sanitary standards.

Some years back I had a meeting with the CEO of Hershey in one of their plants. When I first walked in, I said to one of the workers: “Wow, this place smells great! You must LOVE working here!”

Three hours later when I walked out, I thought: “Wow, this place smells like s**t! They must HATE working here!”

It gets a little overwhelming after a bit...

I lived for four years in Elizabethtown where this accident happened. In addition to the chocolate factory, there was a paper mill nearby. So, depending on which way the wind was blowing, you either smelled chocolate or something that smelled like sewage. The entire time I lived there, I never got a whiff of fresh, untainted air.

After the first year there, I was thoroughly sick of chocolate-scented air.

“Damn, you’re old!”

Why do you assume that? I can find videos on these fancy computaters that date back to the 20s if I want. Of course being old these days can be a blessing given the way this Republic is heading.
