Ron DeSantis is the sane choice to revive the US
NY Post ^ | 2/11/2023 | Charles Gasparino

Listening to Tuesday’s State of the Union speech, it was hard not to lose hope in the future of the country and the American experiment.

It was delivered with grandiose delusion by a stammering, brain-addled octogenarian. When he wasn’t tripping over words or making stuff up (how he is taming inflation, as if the president controls interest rates), Joe Biden was being a petulant scold, sounding as if he was really angry that someone misplaced his dentures.

He wants to raise taxes, expand the welfare state, all because he thinks he knows what’s best even though he barely knows what day it is. Is this our future? Maybe.

Biden, for all his incapacity, will probably defeat the likely GOP challenger if it’s former President Donald Trump, another old dude who offers up his own set of personal baggage so large, we don’t have room in this column to describe it.

Desantis give me the political philosophy with which I align, but he brings none of the baggage brought by other candidates. He's young, served in the military, is a devoted husband/father, and has turned a purple State bright red. I truly hope he runs.

Trump is human carbon steel quenched and tempered.

Desantis is a pin cushion.

Okay, cool. Go DeSantis! Are we doing away with mail-in voting en masse? Otherwise, he cannot win.

He’s establishment’s choice. And, he wouldn’t be if he wasn’t in bed with the Chamber of Commerce and neocons.

Please provide a definition for “establishment endorsed.” That phrase gets thrown around but nobody ever states what it means.

I personally don’t think DeSantis is a bad choice, I would take him over nearly any other politician except Trump.

The issue I have with him is that he is simply a politician in the classical sense, which I don’t want any part of. He is exactly the same as others In the Republican Party, and as you point out, that isn’t a positive.

He isn’t going to fix anything. He is going to be a politician.

Characterizing DeSantis as the “sane choice” is insulting. Again, that tells you a lot about both the people allied with DeSantis and those same who oppose Trump.

Desantis is a pin cushion.

How so? He’s a Navy vet just hitting his stride at 45. Trump looks like the Monty Python black knight at this point and is pushing 80. Plus he’d select some VP like Nikki Haley.

People do not get it

We are fighting a deep state that has no intention of surrendering

If DeSantis is Legit the same forces that fought Trump would be destroying DeSantis..

Trump fought

DeSantis will play ball because why are they promotion him as the Trump alternative?

Trump has all the right enemies..DeSantis doesn’t

We are fighting a deep state that has no intention of surrendering

So name one thing Trump did to dismantle the deep state. Name one Executive Order, one Bill he vetoed, one Bill he proposed. There’s nothing.

Oh sure, he yaps on the internet about the deep state, bit never once took it to them.

Trump proved himself, BIG TIME.

The baggage associated with him,was brought by the insane democrats who could not stand that Trump did exactly what he said and Made America Great Again.

DeSantis is my second choice, but as long as Trump is alive and running, Trump is 100% my choice.
