Burt Bacharach, one of the greatest songwriters of the 20th century, has died aged 94.

The US musician composed more than 500 songs during his career and was behind hits such as I Say A Little Prayer, Walk On By, Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head, and Do You Know The Way To San Jose...

Was married to Angie Dickinson in her prime.

Not sure if 34 is "prime," but she did have a baby, Nikki. Unfortunately she was autistic, and took her own life in 2007 at age 40.

I think his first movie foray was the title song to Steve McQueen's debut movie, The Blob. Not his finest work, but livelier than most of what passed for movie music in the 50s.
