(CNN)Just over a month after Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin went into cardiac arrest after making a tackle in a game against the Cincinnati Bengals, the Buffalo Bills safety has received an optimistic prognosis on his playing future from the NFL players union doctor.

They don’t seem to know WHY he went into arrest. If it was the hit maybe he shouldn’t push his luck. That hit didn’t look particularly rough.
If I was him I think I’d take up knitting 😏
I highly doubt “the hit” put him into cardiac arrest. Course I am not a doctor. I am a lawyer and I bet I could put together a case though.
Was wondering about that when I woke up this morning.
Right now, this is all speculation, plus the union doctor may not want to be the public bringer of bad news.
That doctor won’t be making the decision anyway. It will be between the now damaged player and his coach.
When the nfl switches from tackle to flag format for the whole season that’ll fix it.
sure he will.
Is it going to be like one of those crippled kid deals when they put him in in Q4 when it doesn’t matter and everyone plays along in the charade?
At least until after the Super Bowl...
Last night on RAV (LFS6B), one of the hosts said that maybe he technically CAN play again, but he won’t. No team’s insurance provider would let that happen.
I’m just repeating what a guy said. I know absolutely zero about football, and care less than zero.
How old is Hamlin, around 24? If I were him I’d take the money the NFL has already paid me and go live the rest of my life doing things that don’t involve full-speed collisions with NFL players.
I have seen harder hits on Wipe Out.
If the vax was the cause this is all just Titanic deck chair shuffling.
Pfizer sacks pharma competition in early NFL TV advertising season
Wonder if Project Veritas was working on a Damar Hamlin story...
Why does the NFL bother with concussion protocol and impact sensing helmets, if they don’t care about someone who’s heart stops beating when hit hard enough by well executed contact? This guy needs a new non-contact type of career.
I think the doctors have been saying all along that he was hit at the exact wrong moment of his heart beat in the exact wrong place in his chest.
Of all the countless hits, blocks and tackles in games and practice over decades in the nfl by thousands of players I just find it hard to believe that’s the reason.
Like I said in post 3........take up knitting
His buddies will talk him out of it....
His real friends will try to talk him out of it. His buddies probably won’t want to give up bragging rights and free tickets.
The Bills should be lawyering up to keep this guy off the practice and game field as a player for the rest of his life. His collapse caused a game to be cancelled during the first quarter in front of a full stadium. Everyone went home. The vendors got screwed out of making their living. What if he dies next time? Are they going to cancel the game again, because they care so much about what happens?
