This reminds me of the book “Blind Man’s Bluff: The Untold Story of American Submarine Espionage”, by Sherry Sontag and Christopher Drew. Whatever your opinion is of Seymour Hersh, this is an incredible story and well written, soon to be at a theatre near you (or on Neflix).

I had no doubt that we did it, but I assumed that we did it because in the early days of the Russian invasion Germany was reluctant to provide any support for Ukraine BECAUSE of the gas supplies. I assume that the pipelines were blown up to force Germany to come to our side. “Since you don’t have to worry about Putin cutting off the gas supply now. How about some money/weapons for Ukraine?”
