I separate the performer from her product sometimes.
Politics and Emoticom Meltdowns aside, Cher has always been a fine performer on stage. She knows what works for her voice, her age and her stage presence.

Eventually every group and solo rock ‘n roller will be inducted if they want an induction ceremony every year. They are not making new popular rock n’ rollers unfortunately. That’s not to say there isn’t any good new talent. You just have to do a lot of searching to find it.

I never cared for Styx’s commercial offerings, but I was shocked at how great their live covers are. Got to YouTube and watch their cover of “I Am the Walrus” and, believe it or not, the Hallelujah Chorus. Outstanding musicianship that doesn’t suck.
