FOREIGNER bassist Jeff Pilson says that there is a "very, very simple" reason his band has not yet been inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame.
Artists are eligible for the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame 25 years after the release of their first album or single. Criteria for inclusion includes "the influence and significance of the artist's contributions to the development and perpetuation of rock and roll."

Cher for her solo career, is another.
Just corner me and beat me up about mentioning Cher.
Foreigner was too commercial?!
I won't. She's more rock n roll than Dolly or now Willie Nelson tho.
Those nominations, both country masters, have diluted the HoF as being for rock n roll.
Ian MacDonald of Foreigner got his start with King Crimson, so there’s another one for you.
No Grand Funk Railroad yet Linda Ronstadt?
And yet relatively minor people like Larry Norman are in?
Cher has had some excellent songs over the years.
I separate the performer from her product sometimes.
Politics and Emoticom Meltdowns aside, Cher has always been a fine performer on stage. She knows what works for her voice, her age and her stage presence.
How about because Foreigner, Styx, and Cher all suck?
Who isn’t in the RR Hall of Fame? I always thought this thing was kind of gimmicky.
Foreigner and Styx doesn’t suck.
Fricking NWA is in the damn Hall of Fame, it’s becoming worse than the Grammys.
“Why Has FOREIGNER Not Been Inducted Into ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME?”
I prefer they stick with American bands.
>>How about because Foreigner, Styx, and Cher all suck?<<
Except they don’t.
Cold as Ice 💙❤💚💛
It’s all fake they don’t even have to be rockers as already mentioned
Pat Boone, the King of Rock and Roll, belongs in the Hall of Fame, as does Connie Francis, the Queen of Rock and Roll.
“ How about because Foreigner, Styx, and Cher all suck?”
Cher maybe but Foreigner and Styx were great.
You’re right, many snubs from this fiasco. How can it be a rock hall without The Doobie Brothers, Steve wood, Joe Cocker, Jethro Tull’ or Jan and Dean? It’s a joke.
Johnny Rivers.
Nope.
I never cared for Styx’s commercial offerings, but I was shocked at how great their live covers are. Got to YouTube and watch their cover of “I Am the Walrus” and, believe it or not, the Hallelujah Chorus. Outstanding musicianship that doesn’t suck.
