CHICAGO (WLS) -- There is a large Chicago police and SWAT presence in Lakeview Tuesday afternoon after three dogs were reported shot.
Police said SWAT responded to the 1000-block of West George Street for reports of an armed individual in a residence.
Police said shortly before 2 p.m., a woman was walking two dogs off leash in the area of Seminary and George in Lakeview.
CPD said the dogs approached a man, and he and the dogs' owner exchanged words. Police said the man then walked around the corner into an alley and the dogs followed, at which point the man shot both of them.

Are the cops upset that they were deprived of the opportunity to shoot the dogs themselves?
Oh so that will get the cops out in Chicago. Humans being shot...not so much.

I don't see the problem here, at least not yet. The dogs were not under control. Is the SWAT team going to shoot the guy dead because he killed a couple of dogs who were attacking him? I don't know the full story, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt for now.

As a smirking, laughing criminal who boasted on his online videos about how much he enjoyed torturing dogs and then showed scenes, people wanted the death penalty reinstated right away. He wasn’t caught as far as I recall.

Kind of rushing to judgment, aren’t you? The article didn’t say anything about the man being attacked, It just said the dogs followed him.

He’s lucky he wasn’t caught. In some places I’ve lived he’d be a tree ornament if he was caught.
Yes, I know it’s preliminary. That’s why I wrote, “I don’t know the full story, but I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt for now.”
Keep the dogs on a leash next time.
Only a liberal democrat woman would be stupid enough to A) live in Chicago and B) leave her dogs off leash in that filthy traffic congested city.
No, they thought were there were were two dogs to be shot there were likely many more.
What color were the dogs?
Did the dogs survive being shot?
