Massachusetts mom Lindsay Clancy will face murder charges from her hospital bed Tuesday in the alleged strangulation of her three young children.
The labor and delivery nurse, 32, will appear via Zoom in Plymouth District Court for arraignment on two counts of murder and three counts each of strangulation and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, WCVB reported.
Clancy, who was on leave from her job at Massachusetts General Hospital, allegedly killed her daughter Cora, 5, son Dawson, 3, and her 7-month-old son Callan, who died later at a hospital.
Upgraded charges are expected after the death of the infant.
The mother has been hospitalized since she jumped out a second-story window in the grisly attempted murder-suicide at her Duxbury home on Jan. 24, authorities said

I read somewhere she was on multiple (10?) psych drugs.
Whoever prescribed those mind-altering meds should be the one to be charged.
No excuse.
I heard that California is considering a bill that would prevent a mother from being investigated or charged if she murders her child within 2 years following its birth. If it passes in California it will soon show up in numerous other states.
Delayed abortions . . . nothing to see here
Demons are real.

Normally not a believer in insanity defense, but it’s at least plausible in this instance.
What the......
Our brain can mis-fire at any time.
So if you have severe mental illness and some idiot doctor pumps you full of mind altering chemicals, you think your as culpable as someone who is not modified?
Not buying it.
I think this woman had the same thing. They'll get it under control and then she will live in the hell of knowing what she did. It's awful, all of it.
Sorry, it is “only” 28 days following birth, not 2 years. I should have looked it up before posting. Although I have heard some talk of allowing up to 2 years if the mother suffers from post-partum depression, I don’t think that has been introduced anywhere, so far.
I read that too. Multiple strong meds for psyche disorders.
Usually, the only way that would happen is if somebody was receiving prescriptions from more than one provider of care, or doctor. No real doctor would prescribe all those at once without being aware of the high liklihood of counterindications, or bad side effects from the overlapping effects of meds.
No. This poor woman will punish herself as long as she lives.
I had post partum depression after the birth of my second child.
Apparently, it was a mild case because I only wanted to fling myself down some stairs and break a leg.
I had no family around to help but I did get medication and pulled out of it in about 3 months.
I would have liked to have had at least one more child, but fear of the same thing happening was a major deterrent.
my older sister was prescribed 3 blood pressure medications at 1 time, same doc.
just not paying attention
better if she just died on the table...
She’ll cry, blame everyone and everything else
Some gynocentric judge will give her a light sentence, probably a third of what a guy would get.
Hate this gynocentric society.
