Bias and stereotypes lead to college-educated Black women facing greater challenges in the dating market.
Black women are among the highest educated female demographic in America.
Students and experts told Insider that predominantly white college campuses don't create a fair playing field for Black women when dating.
A viral TikTok of white, female college graduates showcasing their engagement rings while waiting to receive their degrees sparked a conversation online about the pressure on young women at southern colleges and universities to get engaged before graduation.
The phenomenon has many names, but is perhaps most commonly trademarked as "ring by spring" or obtaining an "MRS degree." While the terms can have a negative connotation — implying that a young woman's main intention in attending college is to find a partner – it sheds light on the very real experience of young, white women finding their life partners on campus.
It isn't comparable to the experience of college-educated Black women who are 53% less likely to marry a well-educated man (with at least some post-secondary education) than their white counterparts.
"For Black women attending college, we're really striving to level the playing field or become economically stable. Our goal is to secure a career, and in turn, secure our families," said Anjerrika Bean, the assistant director of Howard University's Center for Women, Gender and Global Leadership. "Securing a spouse isn't the ultimate agenda for us. That doesn't mean we aren't interested in it, but it isn't the reason we are choosing to further our education at said institution."

Yet she adds nothing of real value. Black Privilege and Institutional Racism are real.
The few that aren’t homo have an IQ of 25 and are the butt of all dumb person jokes.
Maybe so.
I think is it simply that normal guys don’t like liberal harridans.
College is liberal indoctrination camp for everyone, but women are targeted especially for brainwashing, and black women the absolute focus of the brainwashing.
So they take perfectly normal black women and make far too many into something that would not be a good partner for a normal guy.
Avoiding brainwashing is why I made sure all my daughters did their military service (mandatory in Israel) before college.
Like Clarence Thomas did?
The article is totally invalid because it uppercases black while lowercasing White.
This is all about a “viral tiktok” so it is worthless.
Let me understand this. “White” colleges lower admission standards, raise test scores, and give away tuition money but they are to blame when the women can’t find a college-educated male to marry.
Is it because their potential marriage partners are overwhelmingly in jail, out of jail, on drugs, and interested in sex not marriage? Jess askin’.
“his career did not take off as well as he had hoped”
If the career taking off is the focus of marriage it is better they didn’t get married whether or not his career took off.
I agree with that sentiment. The reason negroe women have a hard time finding others of the same race to marry is easy to see. If I have to say it, you have not been around them in their natural habitat.
It is better to compare how caucasian and asian people present themselves. Much less screaming, no screeching, and less fake body parts. The difference is becoming less every year, at least with the black and white. The caucasians are devolving, not that the others are evolving.
“I suppose they’re assuming black women can only date black men.”
No, they can only date men who are willing to spend time with them.
Correct. Even 20% of Black guys voted for Trump in 2020. They're more likely to date White women (not all of them are brainwashed).
He did marry a conservative.
“Black women are among the highest educated demographic in America.”
“Highest educated” ≠ most intelligent or wisest.
Yes and no, meaning no, I have not seen many obvious examples of Chinese or Japanese men romancing Black American women, I have seen a few Philipino or Samoan men with Black women.
The fact that their tanned skin color is more of an even match with the Lady’s probably makes dating outside of one’s own race more likely to happen.

The vast majority marry withing their own racial demographic. The reason there’s a shortage of suitable black men for these women is because they greatly outnumber their male racial peers in education and thus find it harder to find a man on their educational and economic level. Why does it always have to be because of “bias and stereotypes” with the woke.
It is Whitney’s fault. Law were passed to make this happen.
Colleges have been 60-40 female to male for years. Do the math. I personally think these young women should pursue old gentlemen. We can’t run that fast.
“Black women are among the highest educated female demographic in America.”
Uh, the ones with real degrees, yes. (STEM, traditional lib arts).
The ones with woke degrees rank with illiterates. (Check the White House spikesidiotess for proof.)
The choice is theirs.
Oh, anyone of any sex (there are only two) that got quota’d - feggedabowdit!
Black women are the least desireable demographic across all male racial demographic groups.
I also believe over 80% of them are medically classified as overweight/obese.
Asians really do not prefer black partners at all. For multiple reasons. The Bell Curve being the most significant as it affects so many other aspects of attraction.
The black women are fine screwing the bad boy ex-con black dude to get a baby chad/tyrone. Hes not the wallet/husband though.
Or people should stick with their own kind.
Why? I married an Asian who shares my values far more than the white liberals around me. Who is harmed by that?
