Bias and stereotypes lead to college-educated Black women facing greater challenges in the dating market.
Black women are among the highest educated female demographic in America.
Students and experts told Insider that predominantly white college campuses don't create a fair playing field for Black women when dating.
A viral TikTok of white, female college graduates showcasing their engagement rings while waiting to receive their degrees sparked a conversation online about the pressure on young women at southern colleges and universities to get engaged before graduation.
The phenomenon has many names, but is perhaps most commonly trademarked as "ring by spring" or obtaining an "MRS degree." While the terms can have a negative connotation — implying that a young woman's main intention in attending college is to find a partner – it sheds light on the very real experience of young, white women finding their life partners on campus.
It isn't comparable to the experience of college-educated Black women who are 53% less likely to marry a well-educated man (with at least some post-secondary education) than their white counterparts.
"For Black women attending college, we're really striving to level the playing field or become economically stable. Our goal is to secure a career, and in turn, secure our families," said Anjerrika Bean, the assistant director of Howard University's Center for Women, Gender and Global Leadership. "Securing a spouse isn't the ultimate agenda for us. That doesn't mean we aren't interested in it, but it isn't the reason we are choosing to further our education at said institution."

No, I assume they would like to, there're just so few around. Its sad but that's how liberals have set up the system.
“Black women are among the highest educated female demographic in America.”
BWAHAHAHAHAHA!
What, they got an education in Brawling and Cursing Like A Sailor???
They are trying to make it about race, without mentioning race (of the “matches”, for these black women).
Why not ask the question....Where are all of the college-educated black men, to keep up with the numbers of college-educated black women?
We know why they did not ask that.
Not just that. But by and large they choose junk majors. There were exactly zero black women in my computer science courses. My son said it was the same for him too.
Perhaps it’s because obtaining a college degree does not prove a person is hat a person is “educated”. Indoctrinated, definitely. Educated, not necessarily.
Regarding a great many minorities, particularly black females, college only reinforces their idiocy and sense of entitlement. They will reliably and without fail resort to ranting and raving about being disrespected and accusations of white privilege and racism the moment they disapprove of what you say because they have infantile mind and lack critical thinking skills.
Decades ago, Vox Day answered the question.
Successful Men have money
Successful Men want a family, and a Woman with the same goals/
Successful Men are not looking for a career equal
If you are a female University grad looking for an Male with the same income and education, your pool of available suitors is very small.
What dude wants to play house wife while his wife goes out to earn $250,000 per year
Ask Kamala Harris and Ketanji Onyika Brown Jackson.
And in the many British mystery shows aired on PBS.
Black guy and Jewish mom are relatively common, but black moms with white dads are emphasized far beyond reality.
Raises hand* It’s not our problem when we have enough. They’re supposed to be capable adults, so let them work it out. The obsession with black women in this part of the world is tiresome.
My best friend from all the way back to HS is white with a black wife. Beautiful family. It’s more common than folks believe.
“I never saw a Purple Cow,
I never hope to see one;
But I can tell you, anyhow,
I’d rather see than be one.”
Exactly. These days ‘highly educated’ does not unequivocally equal intelligent or critical thinker.
It was rare enough to find a WHITE woman in my mechanical engineering program back in ‘69-’73. I don’t think we had a single one in the entire engineering college. I worked with my first female engineer around 1980 and she was quite good.
White women go after black men because they are still allowed to be masculine.
Women, not black women, want to marry up, status-wise. There are very few women with college degrees who would want to marry a plumber -- even if he owns his own business and makes considerably more than her. This the potential pool for college educated women is MUCH smaller then the potential pool for successful men.
Question for Men: if you could marry a girl who would spend the rest of your life keeping you sexually satisfied and otherwise keeping you happy, keeping your house, and giving you children -- would you care if she was a high-school dropout?
Hip hop culture is masculine. So is Spanish machismo. Muslims? Enough said. Woke nonsense in the U.S. will eventually fade.
If a company needs to hire somebody just to make a quota, and they know the person will be worthless, then they will hire a black woman so as to score on two quotas. Black men are screwed.
I can’t speak for you PapaBear3625, but I’ve been around those women before. Quite a bit. Far more than there should have been, but some of them were the most uppity, pretentious, snobby, selfish people I’ve ever encountered.
As for your question, the only person that would say no to someone like that is someone who is worried about what other people think.
