It looks like former Cowboys offensive coordinator Kellen Moore won’t be out of a job long.
Shortly after word of Moore’s departure broke on Sunday, there was word that the Chargers planned to speak with him about their offensive coordinator vacancy. A report on Monday indicates things have moved beyond a conversation.
NFL Media now reports that the Chargers are expected to hire Moore to run their offense. He will replace Joe Lombardi, who was fired after the Chargers lost to the Jaguars in the playoffs this month, and the hope in L.A. will be that his arrival results in bigger and better things from a unit that was not productive enough despite the presence of quarterback Justin Herbert.
Moore will get a chance to catch up with the Cowboys next season as Dallas will make a visit to SoFi Stadium during the regular season.

The Prosser Tosser!
Hang in the Kellen, now you don’t have to worry about Jerry Jones or Mike McCarthy overriding your play calls. Good luck McCarthy, now the offensive play calling turd is all yours.
“... Good luck, McCarthy.” ?
What happened to the numerous allegations that he didn’t understand clock management?
Maybe Jerry doesn’t either.
I want Jerry to put earpieces in McCarthy’s ears so he can yell at him all game long. That would be pure gold.
Maybe he will toss less interceptions with the chargers.
No, but he’s got one of the cheapest owners in the NFL now in the Spanos’.
How rich the owner is doesn’t translate into wins and losses.
Basically, that’s OK; the job is part of his path to an eventual HC job.
Moore showed a total inability, except when he had no choice with Cooper Rush, to orient the Cowboys toward their strength, the run.
He constantly played to Prescott’s weakness in hot reads, thus interceptions. While Rush doesn’t have near the arm or athletic ability that Prescott has, not sure over the long haul he wasn’t the better quarterback for the team because of how it forced Moore to run the ball.
