Formula 1 broadcaster and commentator Jennie Gow recently revealed her absence from the BBC's F1 coverage was due to her suffering a stroke, and she has given an update on her condition
BBC Formula 1 reporter Jennie Gow has shared an update on her health after suffering a "serious stroke" earlier this month.
Gow is one of the most recognisable faces in F1, and has proven to be an integral part of the BBC's coverage. The journalist also played a huge role in Netflix's hit F1 documentary 'Drive to Survive, having featured heavily in season three of the production.
Towards the end of 2022, Gow became an absentee from television screens and broke the news why earlier this month. Taking to Twitter to reveal her illness, Gow said: "Hi everyone, been quiet the last few weeks, this is because I suffered a serious stroke two weeks ago.
Lewis Hamilton reveals doubts as he expresses fear he will never win another F1 title
"My husband is helping me type this, as I’m finding it hard to write and my speech is most affected. I’m desperate to make a full recovery and return to work but it might take some time. Thank you to the medical teams at Frimley and St George’s and my family and friends who’ve got me through the last fortnight X.”
Two weeks on from her original post, Gow has now given an update on her condition which includes her having rehab every single day. The F1 reporter once again posted on Twitter, and admitted she was just starting to learn to type and write again due to the effects.

Sky has lots of Female reporters that aren’t all good, but they are 10X better than the woke female Football reporters on ESPN
